The board lives in the dashboard sidebar under Stream, as Stream Control, or directly at /dashboard?tab=stream-control. Every card reads one shared feed that refreshes every six seconds while the page is open, so nine cards cost one set of requests.
The header
A dot and a label say You are live or Offline. While you are live, your uptime and viewer count sit next to it. On the right are Arrange and, while arranging, Reset layout.
Moving and resizing cards is covered in Arranging your board.
Now live
The card repeats your live state (live or offline, uptime, viewers) and holds the title and category that go to Twitch. There is no autosave here, so a half-typed title never goes out mid-keystroke. While you are typing, the six-second refresh stops overwriting your draft until the save lands.
Change your stream title
- Type the new title in the Title box.Up to 140 characters, the same limit Twitch enforces.
- Press Save.Save stays disabled until something actually changed, and while Twitch is not connected.
Actions
Every button here runs the same action a Remote Trigger URL runs, so a Stream Deck key and this card can never drift apart. The full action list is on the Automations page.
- Privacy screen covers your live scene at once. The button fills in and reads Privacy screen on until you press it again.
- Test alert fires one sample alert on your overlay, using the type picked next to it: new follower, new subscriber, resub, gifted subs, cheer, raid, channel point redemption, tip or donation, or hype train.
- Next scene steps to the next enabled scene in your list.
- Clear spotlight takes a pinned chat message back off screen.
Chat
Your Twitch and YouTube chat, merged into one list, so a mod pass or a shoutout idea does not need a second monitor pointed at OBS. Kick is not on this card yet. The tag in the card header reads Connected once any of them is live.
- Hover a message for two buttons: Spotlight this message and Copy message.
- The list stays pinned to the newest message. Scroll up to read and a Jump to newest button appears.
- Messages that start with ! and messages from known bot accounts are not shown here.
- The card holds the last 40 messages, and it starts empty every time you open the page. There is no backlog to scroll into.
Scenes
The same scene list the Overlays page edits, one click from being on air. The scene that is live carries a Live tag. Scenes you have disabled are left out, because the server only ever switches to enabled ones. Next scene in the card header steps forward without picking.
Numbers
Five tiles: viewers, uptime, followers, new subs and bits. Viewers and uptime come from your Twitch stream status. The other three are counted from the recent events feed, cut at the moment your stream started. A gift bomb counts as the number of subs gifted, not as one row.
Events
A rolling feed of what just happened, newest first, with how long ago it was. It reads the same 20 events the Numbers card counts and uses the same wording as the event feed on your overlay, so a follow reads identically in both places.
Timers
Start a timer
- Name the timer.Up to 30 characters. Leave it blank and the timer is called main.
- Drag the duration slider. One to 60 minutes.
- Press Start timer.
Each running timer gets its own row with the time left and four controls: +1m, -1m, Pause or Resume, and a reset button that clears it.
A subathon block appears above the timers only while a subathon clock exists, running or paused. It shows the remaining time and gives you +5m, +1m, -1m and pause or resume. You cannot start or end a subathon from this card - that is the Subathon action on the Automations page.
Giveaway
Run a giveaway
- Set the keyword.Defaults to !enter, up to 20 characters. The box locks while entry is open.
- Press Open entry.
- Watch the entry count and the last five entrants fill in.The roster stops at 5000 names.
- Press Draw a winner. The draw is weighted by each entry's weight, closes entry, and writes the name it rolled. Clear wipes the whole giveaway.
Subscribers only is applied while entries are collected. Followers only is stored with the giveaway, but nothing filters on it yet, so today it keeps nobody out.
Poll
A question, two to four choices and a duration of one to 10 minutes, then Start poll. While one runs you get a bar per choice with its share and vote count, the total, and End poll. A pulz poll needs no Affiliate status, unlike a Twitch poll.
FAQ
Does the board work when I am not live?
Yes. Everything that writes to your overlay still runs. Viewers and uptime read zero, and with no stream to cut against, the follower, sub and bit tiles count the whole recent events feed instead of this session.
Does my overlay need this page open?
No. Your browser source reads the same live state on its own. The one thing that does depend on a source being open is giveaway entry, which the Giveaway widget collects from chat.
Can Stream Control switch my OBS scenes?
No. It switches the scene inside the pulz browser source. Scene switching and source visibility inside OBS stay in OBS.
Why is the chat card empty?
It connects when you open the page and shows what arrives after that, so it is empty until someone types. Commands starting with ! and known bot accounts are filtered out of it as well.
