Download the PNG
- Open the panel in the editor from Twitch Panels.
- Rename it in the toolbar if you have not already.The design name becomes the filename. Anything that is not a letter, number, dash, underscore or space is stripped, and an empty name falls back to panel.png.
- Press Download PNG on the right of the toolbar.On a scene that same slot reads Copy source URL instead. A panel is a file; a scene is a live URL.
The file comes out at twice the artboard size. A 320 x 160 panel exports at 640 x 320, and a 320 x 300 panel at 640 x 600. Twitch displays panels at 320 CSS pixels, so the 2x file is what keeps the type sharp on a high-density screen.
The exporter rasterises exactly what is on the artboard rather than re-rendering it, so the editor is the preview. There is no second rendering path that could flatter a layout and then betray it in the file.
Add it on Twitch
pulz cannot do this half. Twitch holds the panel itself, its title, its description and the link it opens, so the upload happens on twitch.tv.
On twitch.tv
- Open your own channel page and select the About tab.
- Switch on "Edit Panels".The toggle sits above the panel strip. Nothing on the strip is editable until it is on.
- Press the large + box to add a panel.
- Choose "Add a Text or Image Panel".
- Give it a Panel Title.
- Upload your PNG through the image uploader.
- Paste the destination into "Image Links To".This is the whole reason the link is not in pulz. Twitch owns what a panel opens: your pulz page, a Discord invite, a tip page, anything.
- Press Submit.
- Switch "Edit Panels" back off to see the finished strip.
Changing a panel later
- Edit the design in pulz. It autosaves as you go.
- Press Download PNG again.
- On Twitch, switch Edit Panels on and open the panel you are replacing.
- Upload the new file over the old one and press Submit.
Deleting a design in pulz does nothing to your channel, and replacing the design in pulz does not replace the image on Twitch. The two only meet when you upload.
FAQ
Does pulz host the panel image?
No. The PNG is downloaded to your machine and uploaded to Twitch, so Twitch serves it from that point on. Nothing on your channel depends on pulz staying up.
Can I put a live number on a panel?
No. A panel is a static image Twitch serves, so nothing on it updates after upload. Live counts, goals and alerts belong on a scene running as an OBS browser source.
Can I export a whole set at once?
No. One design is one PNG. Make each panel as its own design and download them one at a time. Duplicating a finished panel is the fast way to keep a set consistent.
Where do I add the link?
On Twitch, in the "Image Links To" field of the panel. pulz has no field for it, because the link is not part of the image.
