Twitch Affiliate Requirements (2026): Check Your Progress

Twitch lowered its Affiliate requirements in June 2026. In the last 30 days you now need 25 followers, 4 hours streamed, streams on 4 different days, and an average of at least 3 concurrent viewers on 4 different days. Many guides still list the old 50 followers, 500 minutes and 7 days. Below: the current list, where to check your progress, how to tell whether you (or anyone else) is already an Affiliate, and what Affiliate gets you now that Twitch opened subs and Bits to more streamers.

From Twitch's "Monetization for all" announcement. All four count over the last 30 days.

Meet all four and Twitch sends the invitation itself, by email and as a notification in your dashboard. There is no application form.

How to check your Path to Affiliate progress

  1. Open your Creator Dashboard from your profile picture menu.
  2. Go to Analytics, then Achievements.Older guides call this section Insights. Twitch renamed it Analytics in 2022.
  3. Open Path to Affiliate. Each requirement shows your number over the last 30 days next to the goal.

Want to check without signing in, or look up a friend's channel? The free Twitch Affiliate checker reads public Twitch data: followers, plus hours and broadcast days counted from public VODs. Average viewers isn't public, so it shows as unknown rather than as a guess. Turn on "Store past broadcasts" in your Twitch settings so your streams can be counted.

How to check if you're already an Affiliate

  • Look for the invitation. Twitch emails you and shows a dashboard notification when you qualify.
  • Check onboarding. Accepting means turning on two-factor authentication, signing the Monetized Streamer Agreement, completing the tax interview and adding a payout method. If you've done those, you're in.
  • Don't rely on the Subscribe button. Since May 2026, eligible streamers can switch on subs and Bits before they reach Affiliate, so a Subscribe button no longer proves Affiliate status.
  • Use a checker. The Affiliate checker reads your channel type from Twitch and says when a channel is already Affiliate or Partner.

How to check if another streamer is an Affiliate

Partners carry a verified badge next to their name; Affiliates don't get one. To see an Affiliate's status, paste the channel into the pulz.bio Affiliate checker, or look it up on stats sites such as TwitchTracker or SullyGnome, which show a channel's status. When someone became an Affiliate isn't public; the dates those sites show are when the account was created. On your pulz.bio page, Affiliates and Partners can switch on a checkmark next to their name in Brand settings.

Do you need Affiliate for Twitch Drops?

No. Twitch's Drops guide opens campaigns to every creator streaming the game's category unless the developer limits the campaign to a list of channels. Streamers switch Drops on in their Viewer Rewards settings.

What Affiliate gets you in 2026

  • Payouts. Since May 2026, eligible streamers can earn from subs, Bits, emotes and Channel Points before Affiliate, but only Affiliates and Partners get paid out. The minimum payout is $50.
  • Ad revenue from ads on your streams.
  • The standard sub split of 50/50, with the Plus Program raising it to 60/40 or 70/30 for channels that hit its monthly thresholds three months in a row.
  • Freedom to simulcast. Since late 2023, Twitch has allowed Affiliates and Partners to stream on other platforms at the same time, with a few conditions on quality.

The requirement most channels get stuck on

With the lower bar, followers and hours come quickly. The sticking point is usually the average of 3 viewers on 4 different days, which comes from people who return, not from one big stream. A fixed schedule helps more than anything else here, because regulars can only come back if they know when. How to make a Twitch schedule covers that, and how to grow on Twitch covers the rest. Never buy viewers or followers: Twitch removes artificial viewers, and fake numbers make your own data useless.

FAQ

What are the Twitch Affiliate requirements in 2026?

Within the last 30 days: 25 followers, 4 hours streamed, streams on 4 different days, and an average of at least 3 concurrent viewers on 4 different days. Twitch lowered them from 50 followers, 500 minutes and 7 days in June 2026.

How do I check how close I am to Affiliate?

In your Creator Dashboard under Analytics, Achievements, Path to Affiliate. Or use the free Affiliate checker, which needs no sign-in.

How long does it take to become an Affiliate after qualifying?

Twitch sends the invitation automatically, usually within a day or two of meeting the requirements. Then you turn on two-factor authentication, sign the agreement, complete the tax interview and add a payout method; the tax interview can take a day or two to process.

Do raids count toward average viewers?

Twitch doesn't say. Plan on viewers who chose to watch: regulars from a schedule they can rely on are what keeps an average above 3.

Can I see how long a streamer has been an Affiliate?

No. Twitch doesn't publish the date someone became Affiliate. Stats sites show when the account was created, which is a different date.
